The PEMF Podcast - Episode 99

How Your Thoughts Affect Healing, Energy & Health

Guest: Lea Llovio - Mind, Body, Spirit Health Optimization Advisor

About This Episode

Can the thoughts we repeatedly have influence how we feel, behave and respond to the healing process?

In this episode of The PEMF Podcast, Andy Smith is joined by Lea Llovio to explore the connection between mindset, emotional well-being, energy and physical health. Lea explains why optimising the body may not be enough when negative thought patterns, unresolved emotions or limiting beliefs continue to influence our daily choices.

Together, Andy and Lea discuss how thoughts can affect our emotions, behaviours, relationships and willingness to follow through with the actions that support our well-being. They explore the influence of stress, criticism, resentment and unconscious programming, as well as the practical steps people can take to become more aware of their internal dialogue.

The conversation also examines whether someone can fully optimise their physical health through PEMF, red light therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy and other wellness technologies while neglecting their mindset. Lea introduces her approach to “conscious wellness”, which brings together physical health, emotional awareness, personal intention and spiritual well-being rather than treating them as separate parts of the healing process.

Welcome back to the PMF podcast. Today we're joined by Leah Lovio. Leah's work focuses on the connection between mindset, emotional well-being, energy and physical health. She helps people better understand how their internal state can influence healing, performance and overall well-being. Leah, welcome to the podcast.

Lea Llovio 00:32
Thank you.

Andy Smith 00:33
So I'm really excited about this episode because mindset and everything for me is just like way up there with so many different things. So obviously the podcast is about PMF therapy, but we also get lots of guests on that are specialists in their field. And this is an area that I've been wanting to explore for such a long time. So we normally start these with a quick fire question. So we'll ask you a couple of questions and just shortest answer. And then we will take a deeper dive later on in the episode if that's okay.

Lea Llovio 01:01
That sounds wonderful.

Andy Smith 01:02
So can our thoughts negatively impact our health?

Lea Llovio 01:05
100% because everything you do in life started with a thought and what you do affects your health.

Andy Smith 01:11
What's one thought pattern you believe quietly limits most people?

Lea Llovio 01:16
Criticism, judgment, anger, resentment. I know you said one, but all of these interfere with wellness. They all interfere. Anytime you are contemplating negativity, judgment, criticism to yourself or anyone else, especially, you're interfering with your healing process because you're stealing that time and energy from thinking about, hey, what can I do to heal myself? What can I do to improve myself?

Andy Smith 01:40
Can trauma block physical healing?

Lea Llovio 01:42
Absolutely. If it's unresolved and trauma becomes long-term trauma if it's not resolved, right? People have things happen to them in life that can be traumatic. But if it's dealt with, and especially if it's dealt with with support of someone else, it doesn't have to become lifelong trauma.

Andy Smith 02:04
Are people unconsciously programming themselves every day?

Lea Llovio 02:09
100%. When you're a child, your programming comes from those that are raising you. But then once you become an adult, you get to choose if you want to keep those programs or if you want to change your program. So we program ourselves just like we program our computers now.

Andy Smith 02:28
And can you train yourself to become more positive?

Lea Llovio 02:30
100%. You know, it just takes a little bit of desire, a little bit of discipline, not even a ton, but just acknowledging that, okay, wait a minute, I'm having these thoughts and they're negative and they don't make me feel good when I'm having them. Nobody feels happy when they're pissed off. Nobody feels happy when they're judging themselves or mad at themselves for something they didn't do. So you know that, that's easy. So then it's just a decision to say, hey, wait a minute, I'm going to try even just with a little discipline to start changing those thoughts. So absolutely we can change what we think, what we do and what we say to become a more positive person with a little bit of intention and discipline.

Andy Smith 03:10
What's the biggest mindset mistake that people make with heating?

Lea Llovio 03:13
That they think it's only their thoughts. And I, my main work is focused on thought processes, but it's not just the thoughts, right? You have to support your physical body so that you have the right brain chemistry so that you're not suffering with terrible digestive issues that would be distracting you from having the mindset that you wanna have. So it's never just the thoughts, it has to incorporate the physical wellness. And it really is mental, emotional, physical and spiritual. When you do that, then you really can have the best mindset. But if you neglect the physical body, no matter how much mindset work you do, you're going to be suffering and suffering in the physical body is also a distraction to a positive mindset.

Andy Smith 03:58
Why do some people believe that nothing works for me?

Lea Llovio 04:01
Programming, that's programming. Whether you grew up with a family that says, everyone has a burden to carry in life, or nothing is perfect. Everyone has to struggle with something. That's all programming. And so when people start to believe that nothing works for them, they could have had terrible circumstances in their life where there was a lot of trauma or negative things happening throughout their childhood and life. But at some point, one has to think, wait a minute, things work out for some people. So maybe I can do some work so that things can start working out for me. And everyone can make that shift and it can start with minor baby steps. It doesn't have to be anything big, but that's usually why it's programming.

Andy Smith 04:46
And what's one daily habit that people can do to reset their energy?

Lea Llovio 04:50
100% how you start your day. Just getting up with thinking about something you're grateful for, even if you can just be grateful for the fact that you woke up today. I mean, that's a tremendous blessing. Not everyone gets that. We think everyone gets it, but not everyone does. So just waking up and saying, I'm grateful to be alive, and also thinking of an intention that you have for your life, and an intention that you have to serve humanity, that makes you come in full to your day. And then throughout your day, the way you use that as a reset is that that becomes an anchor for you. So throughout the day, when you're feeling drained, when you're dealing with traffic, when you're dealing with difficult people, you can anchor back to, wait a minute, what am I grateful for? What are my intentions for my life? What are my intentions to serve humanity? And that's an easy, fast, energetic reset that anyone can do at any time, anywhere.

Andy Smith 05:43
Mm-hmm, cool. Okay, so we're moving out of the quickfire around now. I've seen you say optimize your thoughts. So can you kind of take a bit of a deeper dive into this and tell me what do you mean by optimize your thoughts?

Lea Llovio 05:56
Optimizing your thoughts means, you know, in our world of health and wellness, we are always optimizing. We're those of us that are really wanting to live our best health span and lifespan. We optimize our mitochondria, our digestive systems, our brain chemistry. You know, we wear blood glucose monitors. We do all kinds of things to optimize the physical body, but sometimes people forget that everything that we think about everything we're doing, going back to the question of why do some people say nothing works for me? What you think about what you're doing is just as important as what you're doing. And so in the healing process, and actually even in the life process of living a life that you absolutely love, the only thing that is with you 24 seven are your thoughts. And so why would we not choose to optimize our thoughts? And the way we optimize our thoughts is simply by paying attention. Attention is the biggest moneymaker of our time, right? If you can get people's attention, you can make money in life. Well, it's the same thing. If you want a prosperous, healthy body, if you want a happy life with good relationships, you need to pay attention to your thoughts. And every thought is going to either make you take a positive action or a negative action, or not take an action that you want. And it goes deeper with the thought process. Every thought has a chemical reaction and those chemical reactions help us to feel emotions. Anything that you do started with the thought, the chemical reaction, then you felt the emotion. The emotion is gonna say to you, if you thought in the morning, oh, this is gonna be a crappy day, you have the chemical reaction, which may be more cortisol, you know, and then you're gonna feel like, oh, it's not even worth it. Then you're not gonna get up and go on that walk and get your morning sunlight. Then you're not gonna go to the gym. Then you're not gonna be positive with the people that you interact with, versus if you optimize your thoughts and say, wait a minute, okay, even noticing, oh, wow, I had a negative thought this morning. I'm not feeling very optimistic. I'm not really excited about this day. What would be the opposite of that? Can I optimize and upgrade that thought, even if I don't believe it right now, but it's going to feel better to say, cancel, cancel. No, that's not how I'm gonna think today. I'm the captain now. I'm the captain of my ship, which are my thoughts, and I'm gonna choose a positive thought, optimize my thoughts, even if I don't believe it right now. But we are the masters of our thoughts, of our body, of everything that we do. We have so much power to take control of our life, but it does take a little bit of knowledge looking into, like, what are these thoughts that I'm having? Why am I thinking these thoughts? And then saying, it is possible to have a different thought. It is possible to upgrade and update this thought to something positive. And we have to brainwash ourselves in life, right? Again, going back to the programming, we were programmed. Whatever the program was, that's what it was. But now, as adults, we have a choice. And even younger, sometimes even as a teenager, you can start to choose what types of thoughts you're going to have. I've worked with very young people that are like, oh, my parents are very negative and pessimistic, and I don't wanna be that way. And so they start to optimize their thoughts. And the sooner we start working on optimizing our thoughts, and it's simply, we are all very clear on what's negative and what's positive. Anything that makes you feel bad is negative. Anything that makes you feel good is positive. And if you don't have the memory of a positive thought, you can look into the world and see, what do you think having positive thoughts looks like? What would I feel like? Or what would I think like if things were going well? And we start to brainwash ourselves into having these positive thoughts. And even though some people think manifestation and these kinds of things are very woo, they're not woo at all. They're actually very practical, logical, and rational. If one just stops and says, wait a minute, I have this thought and I say this thing or do this thing, it's very clear. Am I going to have a positive thought or negative thought so that the things that I say and do are also positive, which definitely impacts the physical body because you are healthy and fit because you're taking certain actions. And you only took the actions because you had the thought of taking the actions first. Otherwise you would still be laying in bed.

Andy Smith 10:46
Exactly. No. And this is why I was excited for this episode because, you know, I think mindset, manifestation, all that sort of thing, it's coming out a lot at the minute. And it's, you mentioned in there, you know, a lot of people see it as very woo-woo, but, you know, I can't stress enough how much my thought process is and everything that goes into it. You know, I'm quite fortunate that I call myself quite a positively out-looking person. You know, I give my wife a bit of a hard time quite often because I was saying to her she always goes to a negative thing first, you know, where you look at the weather and she'll look at the one thing that's, you know, there's a cloud rather than there's the sun sort of thing. So I give her a bit of a hard time about it. And I really think that it can impact your day. It can change your day. It can change your life if you're thinking in these different ways. But one thing I want to do to kind of take a deeper dive into is can these positive thoughts actually change our health outcome though? So can we almost manifest ourselves into, you know, after an injury into healing quicker?

Lea Llovio 11:51
Yes, we can. Absolutely. So I've worked with a lot of doctors, a lot of medical practices, and what they have seen, for example, even with their patients, is that the patients that have a positive outlook actually have rapid healing, have better outcomes. And so, one, we know that stress is one of our number one killers, right? Stress in the body is stress, and it does not have a positive effect, unless you're having like you're playing sports, right? But even if you played sports every single day, and you stressed out your body and didn't recover, eventually you'd have injuries. So not all, you know, some stress can be good, but most of the time, if it's too much, you're going to get ill. And so absolutely, our thoughts directly affect all of our physiological outcomes. They affect our biology. For example, Bruce Lipton, maybe you've heard of Bruce Lipton, and he had a book called The Biology of Belief, and they did a test there with knee surgery, and they did a placebo. Some people got the knee surgery, some people didn't get the knee surgery. Well, even the ones that did not get the knee surgery had a tremendous recovery because they simply thought that they had the knee surgery. You know, obviously they were volunteers, but the thing is absolutely, our thoughts directly affect our physical body. Again, because we go back to that, our thoughts create chemistry in the body. They create chemical reactions. And so if you're feeling mostly, you know, if you're generating dopamine or serotonin or oxytocin, there's really not much damage those can do. They actually make you feel better, your body works better. But if you're constantly triggering adrenaline and cortisol and stress in your body, then your body begins to restrict. And this is why the thoughts are so important. One, from a practical perspective, the most important thing that people need to understand is time and energy, right? Everything is time and energy. Right now we are spending time and we are spending energy. And tonight when we go to bed, that will be a little bit of time and a little bit of energy. And so every single thought is taking the time and the energy. And so the question is for each human being, what do you want to do with your time and your energy in this life that will affect your physical body? And so every time we are thinking pessimistic thoughts, even about a practitioner, for example, we're not going to get the benefits. Some of the thought processes that we work on with both patients and doctors are that one, we need the doctors themselves to actually have positive thoughts about one, their ability based on their experience and all of the research that they've done. Two, they need to have positive thoughts about the patient. So we work very diligently with practices on clearing out negative thoughts about patients because if a practitioner or even an entire staff, for example, has negative thoughts about a patient and this happens with some of the concierge practices that they have high profile patients or clients.  Well, if you are a politician and half the world hates you and half the world loves you, but now you need some medical care. So you're going to a practice, but everyone knows who you are and half of them may love you and half of them may hate you. When you are in service to healing another human being, our job is that we have to remove, again, going back to the thoughts, any negative thoughts, any critical thoughts, any judgment thoughts of that person or patient, because if we have those, what happens is the patient feels that they'll say, Oh, okay. They made the appointment for me. They're going to see me. They say they're going to give me the protocols, but something doesn't feel right. And that is because we have a mammalian brain and we know if people have good intentions, maybe we don't know exactly why, but we feel it. And every patient feels that. And guess what happens for the practitioners. If a patient doesn't feel that they're being seen, that they're being accepted for the human being that they are, they are not transparent with the practitioner. And this is how it goes beyond the energy or, you know, they feel the energy of the blockage. No, it's actually very practical. They feel that, but guess what? They're not going to give the doctor with the information that they need because somewhere within them, they already know that they're being judged. And so they cannot be transparent. And this is where there's compliance issues and where doctors and staff are like, well, we told them what to do, but they're not doing it. There's more to why people don't incorporate or do what they're, what they know, maybe they should do for their health and wellness. And then from the patient to the practitioner or to anyone that you're going to see, if you're going to a practitioner and you don't feel 100% that this is the person that's going to help me, again, you're not going to trust them and you're not going to do the things that you need to do. So the thoughts are always affecting everything we do, we feel, we say. And so it's very practical, right? It absolutely has physiological effects on the body, but from a rational and logical perspective, because nothing happens without the thoughts first. And one of the things we need in the healing process is trust. We need to have trust. We need to have compliance. We need to have desire. And if one of those is missing, there's not compliance and without compliance, there's no healing. And so this is where the thoughts literally affect the physical healing of the body. Besides the chemical reactions, besides the stress, I actually say the cells in the body, when you are happy and you're generating dopamine and serotonin and oxytocin, your cells are actually very happy and they relax and they can do their work. But it really starts with the thoughts, right? When you're having negative thoughts, thoughts of aversion towards anything or anyone, thoughts of resentment from the past, right? If you're in resentment of the past, you're definitely not in the present. Your cells don't know what's wrong. They just know something is wrong. And so the cells in the body restrict and they cannot do their work because they say, Oh my goodness, my human is really pissed off. My human is very sad. My human is really angry at that person. What's going on? We have to hold on. We have to hang on and try to survive here. So the cells are in survival mode versus if you are flipping the switch, pivoting your thoughts and making yourself think a positive thought, the cells in your body are alive and they're like, okay, my human's having a hard time, but they're working at changing the thoughts. So I think maybe we can relax and do our work and help them heal and help them feel better. But it's almost like when there are children in a very chaotic home, right? The kids can't thrive if the home is chaotic. If they're hearing negative things in their house, it's exactly the same, but children in a house where there's harmony and love and positivity, they get to play and be children and have fun and do their thing and evolve and grow. And that's what we want our cells to do.

Andy Smith 19:45
Yeah. And we've heard you using the term interference. Is that what you were just mentioning there from like outside interference and is that what's negatively impacting the healing process?

Lea Llovio 19:56
So there are many interferences to the healing process, right? We know the external interferences, the toxins that you either take by the food that you eat or the air that you breathe, or what you put on your body, your environment, the people that you're around, these are all external toxins, external interferences. But the biggest interference are the thoughts that we have. What we allow, and not just the thoughts, because the thoughts sometimes are a result of what we allow ourselves to see. What are we allowing ourselves to look at? So you can take in interference to your healing by what you allow yourself to look at. What does that look like? No pun intended. Are you a person that's looking into the world for all of the chaos? You know, there are people that are obsessed with the news and the negative things that are happening in the world. What are you allowing yourself to look at? If you see that there is something, there is someone that's doing something terrible in the world, are you focused on them? Is that what your focus is? When you look at every human being in your life, are you trying to look at what is good in them? What is positive in them? The value that they bring to the world as a sacred human being and a sacred vessel providing their sacred medicine. So looking that we're taking in. The eyes are constantly taking in. What am I looking at? And how am I looking at the people in my life, the circumstances in my life? What is my focus? When you are looking at yourself in the mirror, are you looking at everything that's wrong? This becomes an interference. Or are you looking at the brilliance of existing in a human vessel? At the brilliance of the human body, I don't care if you don't have all your parts or you do have all your parts, you're alive in your breathing and you have a brain and you can still think, are you looking at that when you look at your life and at yourself every day in the mirror, the brilliance of the sacred vessel? Then what are you listening to? This is where interference can come in or healing can come in. Again, are you listening to all the negativity in the world? Are you starting your day by listening to something motivating that can help you heal yourself? Or are you just watching, listening to everything about the wars that are going on in the world? And it's not that we're oblivious to what's happening in the world and it's not that we don't have compassion and empathy for all of the suffering in the world, but we as human beings cannot suffer enough with others to heal them or help them. The way we heal and help others is by optimizing and removing the interferences that we take in. So what are we listening to? Are we listening to positive things? And then of course, every time you speak and eat, everything that comes in and out of your mouth, it can be an interference or it can be an enhancer to your healing. What does that mean? We know about the food, but when you speak, you're also taking in. It's not one way. You're generating energy that can become an interference or an enhancer. If you use your words in life to tear people down, to say negative things about yourself or anyone else, at that moment, you've generated negative energy. Why? Because you're never gonna get a positive feeling back from someone if you're saying something negative about them or to them. You're going to generate more chaos, more negativity, more aversion, more separation, more interference for them and for yourself. And the opposite is true. If you're using your words to say positive things, we know there are studies that show that if you say something kind to someone, you are generating some serotonin, some dopamine, some oxytocin, but not just to the person, you're experiencing it. They are, and if anyone else hears those positive words, they also experience it. So by removing the interference and using the places that we take things in, our eyes, our ears, our mouth, our hands, what we do, right? We know this is very sad, but some people use their hands to hurt people, right? Think of the damage that that causes and the interference to healing that that causes not only for the one that is being violent, but the person receiving the violence. And it just creates a ripple effect of negativity and interference to the healing process. Versus if you use your hands to pat someone on the shoulder, you know, and say something nice, you've just generated healing energy for both of you. And again, we go back to the dopamine, the serotonin and the oxytocin. We all want lots of that in positive ways. I know dopamine, we have a dopamine issue sometimes with social media these days, but the positive ones, just what we say, what we think, what we listen to, what we look at, all of these things can either create interference to the healing process. But I want people to really know that it's not only for ourselves. We affect everybody, even if they don't know it and even if we don't know it. And what that looks like is, for example, in long-term relationships, if you are surrounded by people that say negative things about people all the time, you know that nobody will trust that person. And so you're creating interference again, why? To the healing process. Because we know that community is very important for longevity and for health span, having happy, positive relationships. And so this is why it is so important that we use our words, our actions, and our hands to do kind of things. Because that's how we create connection and community, which is one of the number one things they have in the blue zones, right?

Andy Smith 26:20
Sorry, you know, when something's just so resonating and you're listening, you just completely got lost in a podcast. And thank you for that. No, that's so interesting. And it just shows how important the mindset is in all these things. So people listening to this podcast, a lot of them will be optimizing health through tech, you know, using things like PMF therapy, you mentioned cell health and how the mindset affects the cells and that sort of thing. You know, you've got people that are optimizing their physical health through red light therapy, hyperbaric oxygen chambers, always different things. You know, we're in Austin at the moment in the biohacking conference, you know, it's where we met you. And what I want to know is like if somebody is physically optimizing themselves to the max, they're doing everything they can to work around their cells and that sort of thing. How much of an influence is the mindset? You know, can you be physically optimized but completely lacking in the mindset? And, you know, how much of that do you think is it 50 50? Do you think it's way more than that? Or, you know, where does mindset play in this?

Lea Llovio 27:29
This is an excellent question. There are people that fully, fully optimize themselves or think they do. But what I have seen in working with people for a few decades is that it depends on your level of ambition in life, right? If you are a person that says, and when I say ambition, I mean ambition as to how well you want to be, how happy you want to be, the kinds of relationships that you want to have. And do you really believe and want to be totally physically optimized? You will see people that are always well. They never get sick. Many of my clients are like this. They travel internationally year round and they are always well. Then there are others that are maybe even very well known, influencers in health and wellness, but there's always something wrong. And the common denominator that we have found is that you can't do all the physical things and we should use all of the physical resources that we have, all of the technology, the supplements, the peptides, if we need to have pharmaceuticals in their right place. But if the thoughts are not optimized, we do see recurring issues that happen for these people. And it's very interesting because you think, well, nothing should happen to them because they have all the resources and they do all the things all of the time. But absolutely, if the thoughts are not optimized, what happens is that, again, the thoughts can be an interference. And so, for example, if you have someone that is optimizing themselves, but let's just say they are a negative person, they're constantly criticizing everything and everyone. For example, those people that I have seen, they do everything, but they always have certain issues that just keep recurring and they can't seem to solve or relationship issues, for example. But one thing I want to jump into, just because you mentioned all of the devices, and we can tie it into this, but I think it's very important. Having any aversion in your thoughts can also interfere with your healing, how? If you are a person that says, I only want holistic healing, I only want naturopathic healing, or you are a person that says, oh, all those biohackers and all those naturopaths, they're crazy, I'm just going to my Western doctor and I just want my prescriptions. Both of those are exactly the same. They're both an aversion towards something that is healing. And one of the things that I love for people to know in their bones and understand is what is healing? What is medicine? Who are healers? All medicine, all therapies are sacred medicine. Creating a PEMF treatment is a sacred medicine. Why? Because any time that someone creates a plant medicine, a peptide, a red light therapy, a PEMF therapy, an oxygen therapy, a sauna, any of these, why did they do that? They did that because they had a sacred intention to help humanity heal. At one point they said, I know people are suffering with XYZ. And I know the solution and I'm going to create this device, this peptide, this medication, this treatment, so that I can help people. There is nothing more sacred than the intention to help another human being. And so all medicine is sacred medicine. It doesn't matter what it is. And so going back to the thoughts that can interfere, it's also that, that sometimes we find people that have a strict aversion or a strict no, like I will not do this type of treatment. And I want to invite people to look at all treatments and all medicine and all protocols and all strategies and all biohacks as something very sacred. And the way this can work for people is by tuning in to the original intention of what that therapy was to be. And so this is very important. And that's another place where the thoughts can interfere. It's not just thoughts of judgment or criticism or anger or resentment. It's also to the medicine itself, to the treatment itself. But when you look at a treatment or if you go into your PMF mat and you say, oh my God, this was created by someone that wants to heal people. And you really say, I'm going to really absorb this into my bones, into my joints, into my body. And I also ask people to memorize this because we have cellular memory and you can't always have it with you, right? And so if you use that, that's how you use your thoughts even more to make sure that the therapies work for you, that the treatments work for you, that the protocols work for you. And we all have that power. And this is why our thoughts are so, so powerful because they can direct the energy of everything that we're doing. There are some wonderful practitioners that start their day by looking at their chart and whether you want to call it prayers or meditation, and they just think positive thoughts about all of their patients for the day. And these doctors have tremendous patient outcomes. So it's both sides. We affect ourselves again and we do affect others. And the same thing when you're creating a device, it's so important to have the intention, right? I'm creating this device because yes, it's going to make me money, but I'm gonna help people heal. And what does it mean when we help people heal? We help them have a life. We help them live a life. And this is one thing that I really love for my doctors and practitioners to understand and the creators of all of the devices and the peptides and the therapies. People are coming to use your device, not just because it's fun, you know, some people are, but or not just because their joints hurt. What does this mean? If their joints are hurting, it means their life is being interfered with. So they come to each device, each treatment, each doctor, each practitioner with the hope of a miracle, of getting their life back. So everything in healing is sacred. Everything we provide is sacred and it does, you know, spirituality is in spirit. You are in spirit. When you create something to help humanity, you are the most spiritual person on the planet. And anyone who does good works in the world, regardless of how they do it, regardless if it's through a therapy or a treatment or a device or a peptide or a supplement, they are creating sacred healing medicine in the world. That is called sacred medicine. And everyone has a little bit of sacred medicine to bring to humanity. And when we tune into that, those thoughts are really, that's where they optimize. And that's where we get the most out of our treatments, the most out of everything that we do. And we can remove interferences, you know, from our life. People do have some longstanding medical issues that they've had their whole life, but those things can be eased. They can be made softer and they can get so well mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually that maybe those long-term ailments can be quieter and they can function in their life just a little bit better by, again, optimizing those thoughts. But it's every thought that we think about everything, not just ourselves and people, but the actual treatments, the therapies, the devices, all of it matters.

No it's so important and for me it feels like a full circle moment people listening to this podcast before they'll understand my story and when i got sick. Use pmf therapy and then thirteen fourteen years ago left the family business left a secure job everything to set up my own business to share pmf therapy with other people because i really wanted other people to understand and to use the therapy. So it was really nice to hear that actually something else he said was you know our tagline used to be improving life so yeah it was it was always the intention it was always the mission. I'm just listening to you know for somebody that's listening and i assume the first thing is to for them to accept that they may be a negative person or they may have negative thoughts. When it comes to reprogramming how do these people where do they begin when do they start so you know what's the easiest step method for them to change their mentality.

One is to say to yourself, each person has to say, how happy am I? You know, how physically well do I feel? What do my days look like? If your days look magical every day, you wake up, you're happy in your home life, your body feels good, you're happy with your work life, whatever it is that you've chosen to provide for the world as your service. And at the end of the day, you go to sleep and you go to sleep pretty good, easy, not too bad, you know, it doesn't have to be perfect, but overall you feel 90% of the time you're happy. You know, there's bumps in the road in life. Then you're doing really well on your thought processes. The way people can recognize if there's some work to do or if they are being negative is, what do my relationships look like? Am I happy and fulfilled in my relationships? Are the people that I am in a relationship with happy and fulfilled? This is very important too, right? Because our world tends to look at where's my team? Who's clapping for me? You know, who's my tribe? But I invite people to look at whose tribe are you being? What are you providing? Who are you clapping for, right? Are you waking up thinking about who you can serve and whose life you can make better? So if that's not happening and you don't have fulfilling relationships because there is collaboration and there's giving on both sides, then maybe that's a recognition of what thoughts am I having that have led me to be in these relationships that don't feel so good. If your body is hurting every day, or if you have ailments, or you can't think clearly, literally, if you have brain fog, you have to think, wait a minute, what thoughts am I having that are interfering with me taking the action to get my gut checked out, to run some tests, to find out if maybe I'm eating the wrong foods? So it goes back to the thoughts. If you're not feeling great all day long, you may wanna look at what are the thoughts that I'm having that are interfering with me, picking up the phone and making an appointment with a practitioner that can help me, or going out for a walk. It all starts with a thought. So this is how people can start to recognize you look at your life. How fulfilled are you in your physical health? How good do you feel in your personal relationships and in the work that you do to serve humanity? And this is how you start to recognize whether or not you are being negative or positive. Again, it's very rational, logical, and practical. It just takes a little bit of attention and effort. And one of the tools I like to give people that is easy for everyone. I don't give extended protocols to my clients because they don't have time. We know that people say meditation is wonderful, right? It's so good for you and it helps you. But many people don't have time to meditate for 25 minutes in the morning. But, so I say, how about we take three to five minutes? And I call it my three, three, threes. You wake up, you think of three things you're grateful for, three intentions you have for yourself, three intentions for how you want to serve humanity. But then you also think of who you want to be to yourself, going back to that, who do you want to look at in the mirror at the end of the day? Do you want to look, who can you say, hey, we did good today. We tried. Maybe we weren't perfect, but we tried. We tried and I'm okay with my effort for today. Two, who do you want to be to the people close to you, to those that count on you for support, that count on you for love, for encouragement? And the third one is, who do you want to be to the people that you serve? And the reason why we do that practice in the morning is one, when you come to a place in the morning of saying, What are my intentions for what I want to bring to the world, for who I want to serve? This again affects the cells of your body. And the cells in your body think, wow, my human here is thinking about helping other people? We must be very well. So we can relax and do our work and have fun and make a healthy, happy body for our human because they've got work to do. They've got a calling. They've got sacred medicine to share with the world because they're thinking about what they can bring to the world, how they can serve humanity. And then in the relationship side of the who you want to be to yourself, to those close to you and to those you serve. The reason why we do that is because if you're really coming from a place of generosity in your life and you really want to share your sacred medicine, we all have to learn how to convey what we want to share and give as our sacred medicine to the other sacred, beautiful human beings on the planet in a way they can receive it. And so we cannot speak to our children the same way we speak to our spouse, the same way we speak to our employees or employers or the people that we're serving, right? And so this is very important. And it's just having a little bit of consciousness to say, wait a minute, I'm going to take control of those first three to five minutes of my morning so that I can start to shift my life. And I can start to create the circumstances in my life that I really want to create because you owe that to yourself. Every human being owes that to themselves. We were brought here to do extraordinary works. We were brought here to save each other's lives, enhance each other's lives and bring love and healing to each other. And the only way we can do that is at first we take control of our thoughts and our intentions. And all we can control is what we think, we say, and we do. We can't control anyone else. But if we manage that, we can change the world one at a time, one person at a time.

Andy Smith 43:13
And is that, I've heard you say, mastering your own energy. Is that what you're just talking about there? What do you mean by mastering your own energy?

Lea Llovio 43:21
Okay, so many people in the world believe they feel energy, and they can read people's energy. And they think they have so much experience that they can just tell who somebody is or what they are. I invite people to first master their own energy. And how does that work? It works by managing your thoughts. Because if you go into any situation with any prejudgment or any opinion about people that do this for a living are like this. People that wear this kind of clothes are like that. Biohackers are like that. Western medicine people are like that. You've created an interference. And therefore you are not a master of your energy. So the thoughts create the chemical reaction, create the emotion. The emotion makes you take the action, say the word, do the thing. That creates energy in the world. That creates energy in your body. And so until a person has mastered the energy that they are generating in the world, that they are generating for themselves, they cannot identify or decide who or what someone is or what kind of energy someone else has. Because if your own thoughts are not clear, it's the same, right? We go back to with the doctors, even if you're an attorney, for example, if you are an attorney, you cannot have a judgment on your clients because you're not gonna be able to help them. It's just the way it is. And if you are someone in any relationship, as soon as you have any preconceived notion of what people like X, Y, or Z are, you will never know the other human being. You will interfere with the positive energy that could be created between the two of you. And you haven't mastered your own thoughts, which means mastering your own energy.

Andy Smith 45:31
I've seen the last question for you today is, we've seen that you've trademarked the term conscious wellness. What does that mean to you?

Lea Llovio 45:41
Yes, so when I first started working with people, I worked mostly on the mental, emotional, and spiritual. And we did a lot of energetic work as well. And what I realized over time, two things. One, if my clients did not optimize their thought processes, and my clients are people that can go anywhere in the world and do all of the treatments that they want at any time, if they did not optimize their thought processes, actually, all of the physical stuff didn't actually really help. Just the same if they were doing all of the thought processes, if they were meditating, maybe some of them went to a cave and studied with a Swami for two years and meditated. But if they didn't optimize their physical body, also they were not totally well. And this is where conscious wellness came in. And I call conscious wellness the dance between scientific medicine and spiritual medicine, so that we can do the blessing work in our life and the lives of others and live the blessing way. And why? Because all of it is sacred again. And we cannot neglect our physical body and say, well, I'm just gonna meditate my way out of this. We live in the city. We do not live in a cave. And there are wonderful saints and sages that live in tremendous places, but they don't have the physical issues that we have by driving or by taking a bus or getting in a taxi or dealing with the world, right? And so for us, we must optimize our physical body as much as possible. And if one, for example, some people, they're very, very spiritual. Many healers I have found that suffer physically because they are only focused on the spiritual side of healing or the mindset side of healing or what their thoughts are doing, but they neglect the physical body and it is unfair to your body to say, listen, we're only gonna do thought process work. We're only gonna do spiritual work and you're gonna have to comply. You know, your body is here for a reason. And if you really believe that you are an extraordinary soul that came to this physical vessel, then you understand that the vessel is also sacred. And therefore it wants to be optimized. The body wants to celebrate you. The body wants to support you to do your sacred work. And this is conscious wellness, the dance between scientific medicine and spiritual medicine because to be 100% well and truly live your sacred medicine and provide your sacred medicine to the world that everyone has, you must at least attempt to be very well, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. All of it matters. It's never one or the other.

I wish I had more time today. This has actually been one of my favorite episodes. So where can people find you? If people want to follow more about your work, if they want to contact you or any of your team, how can people do that?

Lea Llovio 48:54
They can go to my website, it's lealovio.com, L-E-A-L-L-O-V-I-O. That's, you know, if they wanted to, like, have me come to speak at one of their practices or something like that. But on Instagram is a very easy way to find me, and I usually have all the conferences that I have upcoming that I'm speaking at there on my little links in bio. And so if anyone wants to visit me at a conference or connect, that's a really good place.
